2012 Cruise Forcast | Looking Forward To Next Year | Best Cruise Deals, Discount Cruises, and Cruise Vacations for 2012 and 2013

First, we're finding that people want to cruise close to home, They want to cruise out of Florida's; Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, or Port Canaveral ports. Drive to New York, Los Angeles or Seattle's ports and cruise from there. They don’t want to fly, put up with long lines and don’t want to pay excessive baggage and other fees the airlines are charging these days.

But even with airfares rising and fees going up, our Alaska cruise bookings are way ahead at this time of the year compared to last year. Sales are looking good for 2012, we’re going to selling a lot of Alaska for next summer.

For some, the economy isn’t a reason not to take a cruise, but almost everyone these days has become a smart shopper.

Consumers do a lot more comparison shopping , looking online for big differences in fares — like $200 or $300 difference — and learning when is the best to go when the prices are the lowest. Travel to Alaska in May or September, and the cruise fares are a lot lower than July and August. Cruise travelers take advantage of the prices in May and in September, so bookings for these months fill up first. Alaska, we believe, will continue to be in great demand. It’s absolutely one of the most breathtaking and adventure bound destinations to cruise and take a land tour.
