3 Great Ways to Saving Money On Your Next Cruise.

Finding a great cruise deal is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Travel Writer's and Cruise Reviewer's Raye & Marty Trencher offer some cruise tips on how to save money on your next cruise.

Looking for new ways to cruise for less? Here's are a few cruise tips that even experienced cruisers may not know. Start your search for a low-cost cruise by taking advantage of the following cruise tips:

1. Cruise Deal of the Day

2. Flash Sales

3. Get Your Freebies

1. Grab the Cruise Deal of the Day

Wouldn't you rather spend less than $500 — instead of $750 — for a short 3 day weekend getaway cruise? Who wouldn't!

If you know where to look, you can find some amazing low-cost cruise deal offers at Travelocity, Priceline, Expedia CruiseShipCenters, and other sites that offer limited-time (usually 24-hours to 3 day) windows to book deep discounted cruises for 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 day cruises--typically to the Bahamas, the Caribbean or Mexico,  and once in a while to Alaska, Hawaii, Europe or Canada / New England.  Deals of 70% or more off  brochure prices are commonly on offer. Sign up for free at individual sites to get their daily deals e-mails, or visit cruisedirectonline.com, which will send you an e-mail for all the offers from a number of travel providers and let you search competitive offers from the all, at one location. Saving you the time spent searching all over the internet for that one cruise bargain your looking for.

Once the page opens, just click on your home state or region to unlock special fares. Plus, while you're shopping, look for resident rate reminders under the price. Start your search for a low-cost cruise by researching Resident Rates.

2. Find a Cruise Ship Flash Sale

Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines , Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Holland America Line  hold weekly "Flash" sales. These cruise deals are often the lowest prices you can find. But they do have limitations. Chances are, they are for last minute arrangements or offer just a few cabins on each ship at that cheap price. Visit the cruise lines own websites and sign up to be notified when these deals come up. Keep you Passport handy as you may have to sail within days. Flash sales are gone in minutes. Just be wary of the restrictions. Always read the fine print before you pay for it. Many of these cruises are non-refundable.

3. Look for Cabin Upgrades, Onboard Spending Credits and other Freebies

The cruise lines or your travel agent,  may offer you special incentives to entice you to book with them. Be sure to ask if a free cabin upgrade is available. Say from an Inside cabin to a cabin with a picture window and an ocean view. Ask if onboard spending credits are part of the package.

Onboard spending credits, where available from the cruise line, are house credits that are placed on your stateroom's account for you to use during your cruise vacation. You can use the credit towards merchandise, lounges and in some, but not all cases, for Spa Treatments or Shore Excursions. Perhaps your cruise includes free shore excursions, wine with dinner, pre-or-post cruise hotel stay, or pre-paid gratuities. You may need to check with your travel agent to get the bonus offer as they sometimes are not shown at online booking engines.
