There Are Three Alaska Cruise Routes.

The Inside Passage Route

A roundtrip cruise departing from Vancouver or Seattle. The route offers spectacular views of British Columbia's coastline and visits the Alaska ports of Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway and Haines. They also visit Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier or Sawyer Glacier.

The Northbound Gulf of Alaska Route

A one-way cruise that visits more glaciers and northern viewpoints and visits the Alaska ports of Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway or Haines. This route often includes spectacular Prince William Sound and the numerous glaciers of College Fjord.

The Southbound Gulf of Alaska Route

Just the reverse of the Northbound with your departure port being Seward or Whittier ( for Anchorage) visits the Alaska ports of Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway or Haines.  Most land tours are offered with the Northbound and Southbound Gulf of Alaska routes.

Alaska Cruisetour Routes

 

Tip:  The most popular direction for cruisetours is southbound, with the land tour

 first and then the cruise.

 

Your Cruisetour may include a scenic dome railcar trip to Denali National Park. Tour the park, view Mt. McKinley. Overnight at deluxe “rustic” lodges. Choose to see more of Alaska -visit the Kenai Peninsula, Copper River, Kluane National Park, Canadian Yukon Territory or other Alaska destinations

Northbound

Northbound Cruise and Land Tour
7-night cruise sailing from Vancouver and ending in Seward or Whittier ( for Anchorage ). Following your cruise, embark on a 2- to 8-night land tour to explore Alaska's vast interior. Visits places such as Fairbanks, Denali National Park,  view Mount McKinley, Talkeetna, Anchorage or Alyeska.

Southbound

Land Tour and Southbound Cruise
2- to 8-night land tour to explore Alaska's interior. Visits places such as airbanks, Denali National Park,  view Mount McKinley, Talkeetna, Anchorage or Alyeska. After your land tour, a 7-night cruise departing from Seward or Whittier ( for Anchorage ) and sailing Southbound through the Inside Passage, ending at Vancouver.

Canadian Rockies

Inside Passage Cruise and Land Tour
7-night land tour -- either before or after a 7-night Inside Passage cruise, roundtrip from Vancouver or Seattle. Explore Chase, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Kamloops and Vancouver, plus visit Canadian National Parks including a scenic rail journey onboard the Rocky Mountaineer® train.

Alaska and the Yukon
