Azamara is the new, deluxe cruise experience for discerning travelers
who long to reach out-of-the-ordinary destinations and
indulge in amenities and service unparalleled on the
high seas.
The
unique offerings of Azamara are beyond compare: butler
service is provided in every stateroom; our shore
excursions (we prefer to call them shore immersions),
are designed to let guests become part of the fabric of
life in each destination, instead of merely being an
observer; our enrichment programs offer everything from
culinary to photographic explorations; our two specialty
restaurants provide the finest cuisine at sea; live
entertainment can be enjoyed nightly; and the level of
service offered is unmatched.
Azamara Cruises consists of two intimate ships,
Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest. Each can carry 710
fortunate guests and because they are smaller and
sleeker than larger cruise ships, they can sail to ports
that others simply cannot reach.
In addition to offering a more personalized
experience, our ships have recently undergone a $17.5
million revitalization with new European bedding and
soft goods, flat screen televisions, new veranda decking
and furniture, and wireless internet service in all
staterooms and public areas. Plus, 93% of our staterooms
offer ocean views and 68% have a private veranda

What about the Name?
You may be wondering where the name Azamara comes
from. Azamara is a coined term derived from the Romance
languages. This includes the more obvious links to blue
(az) and the sea (mar). The name was
also inspired by a star, Acamar.
In Classical times, the star Acamar was the most
southerly bright star that could be seen from the
latitude of Greece. We think of Azamara Cruises as a
star on the blue sea. We love the flowing name that
conjures up the imagery of magnificent journeys around
the world. And we look forward to sharing these voyages
with our guests.
An Azamara voyage is a voyage for the senses. Between
ports of call that are "off the beaten path" and immersive excursions, guests
will experience the utmost in personal attention and finesse onboard this
smaller, more intimate ship. Each meal onboard Azamara Cruises promises to be a
voyage unto itself, with nightly culinary artistry inspired by the world's most
accomplished chefs and by the bountiful regions through which each itinerary
travels. From butler service to expanded spa offerings, no detail goes
overlooked. Here are the highlights....
•
New European bedding and soft goods, flat screen televisions, new veranda
decking and furniture, and wireless internet service in all staterooms and
public areas.

Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua - discover them with Azamara.

become a part of their mystery and wonder with Azamara.

out-of-the-ordinary destinations. What's more, along the
way, you can enjoy the unparalleled service and casual
elegance of Azamara Quest.
In the middle of the
Atlantic Ocean lies a British paradise that most know by
name, but fewer have explored its harmonious shores.
Pink beaches, candy-colored houses, brilliant coral
reefs, and more golf courses per square mile than
anywhere in the world, Bermuda is an inviting haven that
beckons to be discovered.
Most would find it
difficult to describe the beauty encountered on a
Azamara Caribbean cruise, for the simple reason that
some of our itineraries are not accessible to larger
ships; therefore, many cruise passengers will never see
it, which is advantageous for you, as you will witness
the most serene shades of turquoise on earth. Each
exotic port is a colorful canvas, painted with a host of
nature's gifts, for a select few to enjoy.

If an enchanting, yet
diverse voyage is what you seek, then look no further.
From the seductive city of Buenos Aires to the far
stretches of Patagonia, each port of call provides a
celebration of unspoiled beauty that only a fortunate
few will ever witness. Like many great conquistadors of
the past, you may choose to round the edges of Cape Horn
and continue on in complete wonderment as you make your
way to the vast White Continent of Antarctica.
Whoever said, "There is a
difference between living and
living well," must have taken a
voyage with Azamara. We are not
merely waiting to be of service
to you, we pride ourselves in
knowing what you may want or
need, quite possibly even before
you do.
Azamara's outstanding service is
apparent in everything that we
do. From the warm smiles you
receive as soon as you board to
those who deliver our in-room
spa services. And then of
course, there's our world famous
butler service that can satisfy
your every whim to the fantastic
service you'll receive in our
two onboard specialty
restaurants. No matter where you
are, we are there to be at your
service. Yes, it is glorious -
from the moment you step aboard
and receive your welcoming
mimosa. And what could be better
than canapés each afternoon and
a nightly treat on your pillow?
For those wishing to stay fit,
we offer yoga at sunset, Pilates
classes, and a world-class Spa
and Wellness Center featuring
exclusive Elemis treatments
(there also happens to be an
outdoor spa and relaxation
room). If you choose, enrich
yourself with lectures by
renowned speakers or simply
retire to your stateroom, filled
with brilliant touches.
There is, of course, butler
service to satisfy your every
whim, and we offer in-room spa
services, too. Those with a
passion for delectable dining
will adore our two onboard
specialty restaurants; they're
the finest at sea. Or, you may
find a quiet corner in the piano
bar and reminisce about your
day. And, our live entertainment
rivals those in big cities and
offers a variety of music and
genres.
Yes, it's easy to tell you of
all the wonderful amenities
Azamara has to offer, but you
simply have to live it to truly
comprehend it.
Expect much more than
head-to-toe pampering, for here
at Azamara, we believe body,
mind, and soul are
interconnected. Therefore, we
offer a world-class spa, with
the finest therapists and
aestheticians, featuring
exclusive Elemis treatments. So
whether you prefer aroma stone
therapy, body sculpting, an
exotic lime and ginger salt glow
or a tri-enzyme resurfacing
facial, you can treat yourself
to a day of relaxation - all in
an incomparable setting.
What's more, for those who
prefer, we offer in-suite spa
treatments and our aesthetic
suite offers acupuncture,
facials, laser treatments and
more. For couples, our Journey
for Two is a wonderful way to
lavish yourselves for a few
hours, and includes tooth
whitening, DermaNew
Microdermabrasion and a Swedish
massage - for both.
For those looking to stay in
shape, we offer yoga at sunset,
Pilates, and access to our
onboard Wellness consultant.
You'll also find an assortment
of the finest spa products,
apparel and more. Live well and
find your inner peace, with
Azamara.
Enrichment Programs
Azamara's onboard Enrichment
Programs are chocked full of
knowledge, know-how, and
unexpected fun. Each sailing,
Azamara invites guest speakers
and renowned experts to
enlighten our guests in a wide
variety of topics, including
destinations, technology,
cultural explorations, art and
music, and design.
For instance, one evening you
may attend a lecture about the
Oriental culture, or the food of
the Caribbean, or how to get all
the photos out of your digital
camera, the proper way to pair
wine (taught by our resident
sommelier), or even the latest
financial advice from those
in-the-know. Azamara's
Enrichment Programs are
customized to suit our guests
and you are sure to find several
that pique your interest. Join
us and enrich your cruise
experience tenfold.
Entertainment
Entertainment abounds on board
Azamara. A diverse musical
offering that ranges from upbeat
dance bands to intimate piano
bar entertainers awaits you
nightly. Our showcase theatre
features a talented cast of
singers performing some of the
hottest shows at sea as well as
a host of variety entertainers
that will be sure to make sure
that your cruise isn't just a
relaxing one, but also an
entertaining one as well.
Specialty
Restaurants:
Simply upon entering one of Azamara's specialty
restaurants, you will know that something extraordinary
is about to happen, and you are in the fortunate
position to reap some very delicious rewards. Aqualina
and Prime C, our two specialty venues, offer guests a
dining experience unlike anything else at sea (as well
as rivaling those on land).
Each meal on board Azamara is inspired by the bountiful
regions through which each itinerary travels and
prepared by the most accomplished chefs. To enhance your
experience even further, complementary vintages from a
most extensive wine list will be offered with each dish.
Needless to say, be sure to save room for dessert.
Main Dining:
With open seating and stellar nightly selections, our
main dining room, Discoveries, is not to be missed. We
serve all the classic dinner favorites, but we've added
a deliciously different twist to each, like gulf shrimp
with cognac and garlic or a filet mignon with black
truffle sauce. What's more, open seating provides you
the opportunity to dine at your leisure.
AZAMARA
JOURNEY
Forgo the crowds and
experience a voyage tailor-made for today's discerning

the world melt away into the
fiery sunset.
Journey also features two specialty restaurants,
concierge amenities, our Spa and Wellness Center, a
coffee café, a piano bar and a wine bar, live
entertainment, daily enrichment programs (like wine and
champagne tasting), and this is only her short list.

What is Azamara’s official relationship with
Celebrity Cruises?
A.
Azamara is operated by Celebrity Cruises, Inc.,
which also operates Celebrity Cruises. However, this
brand is still considered a separate cruise line
from Celebrity.
Q.
Will smoking be allowed on these ships?
A.
Azamara Journey has two designated smoking
areas. These areas are located in the aft section of
the Looking Glass Lounge on the port side, and on
the starboard forward section of the Pool Deck.
Smoking areas have signs indicating that smoking is
permitted there. All other areas of the ship are
non-smoking. This includes Public Rooms,
Restaurants, Pool Deck, Staterooms and Suites,
Verandas and Halls. For the comfort of all of our
guests, we request strict adherence to this policy,
and thank all of our guests for their cooperation.
Q.
What will the alcohol policy be on these ships?
A.
The alcohol policy on Azamara Cruises is the same as
that on Celebrity. Guests may bring two bottles of
wine per stateroom upon initial embarkation at the
start of the cruise. A $25 corkage fee per guest’s
own bottle will apply in dining rooms. (For the full
policy, please visit the Reservations Knowledge
Desk.)
Q.
Will there be a children’s program on Journey
and Quest?
A.
There isn’t a formal children’s program on these
ships. Families who bring children can schedule
in-stateroom babysitting for $8.00 an hour. Families
staying in suites can borrow movies from the ship’s
DVD library. LeapFrog SchoolHouse products will be
available for rent. On port days, shore excursions
deemed “easy” may be ideal for families with
children. Limited youth staff (only on peak-season
Bermuda sailings) will be assisting with activities
such as games, talent shows and facepainting.
Additionally, we will be offering rentals of
LeapPads, Leapsters and Sony PSP (Portable
PlayStation) units, as well as treasure chests full
of toys for toddlers to borrow. In-stateroom
baby-sitting will still be available in the evening,
first come-first served, based on availability of
staff, never guaranteed.
Q.
What will Azamara Cruises’ gratuity guidelines
be?
A.
For the convenience of our guests, we will
automatically charge gratuities to their SeaPassSM
account at the end of their cruise; based on the
industry norm, we recommend a daily rate of $12.25
per person. This covers all service personnel,
including the waiters and head waiters who look
after guests in the dining rooms; housekeeping
staff; and butlers and stateroom attendants. Please
note that bar/wine personnel are acknowledged with
the standard 15% of the beverages and wines billed
for the service rendered. We understand, however,
that tipping is a personal option, so if you wish to
adjust the amount, please contact Guest Relations
who will be happy to assist you.
Q.
Will this brand offer express departure and
luggage valet?
A.
At this time, express departure is available, but
luggage valet is not.
Q.
Can guests get married on these ships?
A.
Yes, in certain ports of call. More information will
be provided at a later date.
Q.
Will there be clergy on these ships?
A.
In Bermuda, there will be a priest onboard every
sailing. After the completion of our Bermuda season
there will not be any clergy onboard.
Q.
Will this brand have its own loyalty program?
A.
Celebrity’s Captain’s Club will extend to guests who
become loyal guests of Azamara. Captain’s Club
members on Azamara will receive benefits similar to
Celebrity.
Q.
Will reciprocal benefits apply, between Azamara,
Celebrity and Royal Caribbean?
A.
Yes. Because the Captain's Club program has been
extended to cover the new brand, reciprocity
benefits remain unchanged. Azamara guests who are
Captain’s Club members will be credited on their
Celebrity’s Captain’s Club account.
Q.
Will I be able to redeem my credit card rewards
points for onboard credits or cruise discounts?
A.
Yes. The rewards program for Azamara Cruises is the
same as for Celebrity Cruises, with the exception of
having the ability to redeem points for
complimentary upgrades and cruises.
Q.
When I use my Celebrity Rewards credit card, will
I receive double points for any dollars spent while
onboard the new brand?
A.
Yes.
