Why Guides?

We receive many requests for information about destinations, local customs, sights to see, and favorite restaurants in far-away places. We are often are asked about that special shop or photo opportunity - just around the corner from the maddening crowds.

While each of us is a cruise vacation professional, unfortunately, even after 30 years of cruising, we don't have all the answers. No one could. Thus we have a need for Guides to help us and our customers find them.

If you are a seasoned traveler, been on a number of cruises and traveled to many of the worlds known and lesser known destinations we need you to help provide fair and impartial advice.

Our Guides are all volunteers. From time to time they will be sent an e-mail with questions from our guests. e-mails will sent to you based upon your area(s) of knowledge only. We expect our Guides to promptly reply. Naturally the rules for proper etiquette, grammar and good written skills are essential.  All questions should be answered within 24 hours of receipt. Your reply is sent to us and then sent on to the guests, so your privacy is protected and your e-mail address is not circulated. All communications with the guests go through our e-mail server.

You can provide us with an photograph if you wish to place on our new Guides page.  Passport size only please.  Your name and home State will appear, along with your area(s) of expertise. For privacy purposes, we will not post your city, home address or phone number.

The Rewards Of Being Neighborly

Naturally, the personal satisfaction one gets from being able to help someone is often enough. We want to extend our thanks as well. So, should any guest whom you assist visit with us again and book a cruise, you will receive a $10.00 reward. A simple mention of your name or ID number gets you that reward.

To apply please send an e-mail to us stating your name, a brief history of your travels, the cruise lines and cruise ships you have sailed. Please also let us know where you have gone; what cities near and far and out-of-the way places you have seen.  This helps us match the guests questions with the person with the knowledge and know-how.  We don't expect you to sell anything, just share some of your life's travel experiences.
