Amsterdam (Holland America) - sails Holland America's annual three-month Grand World Voyage in January 2005. Departing from Los Angeles, the ship embarks on a trans-Pacific crossing that visits Hawaii, the south seas islands of Vanuatu and New Caledonia, New Zealand, Australia, the Far East, Asia and the Middle East. The ship also calls in the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic to end its voyage in New York.

Segments include a 23-night voyage from Los Angeles to Sydney, a 23-night cruise from Sydney to Hong Kong, a 27-night cruise from Hong Kong to Muscat, an 18-night cruise from Muscat to Rome, and a 14-night cruise from Rome to Fort Lauderdale.
