1. There are so many cruisetours. How do I sort them out?

What do you want to see? How much time do you have? What kinds of experiences and activities do you crave? Look at the following highlights before planning your Alaska vacation. There are really only four major cruisetour collections from which to choose.

Tours 1-28 are presented in pairs.

Odd-numbered tours travel northbound from Vancouver, B.C. Even-numbered tours are the corresponding, or reverse, itinerary. These travel southbound from Anchorage or Fairbanks.

2. How do I maximize my chances of seeing wildlife?

In a landscape this immense, marine and land mammals don’t always appear on cue. To increase your chances, visit as many stunning wilderness parks as possible. Then, while you are in these legendary places, be sure to include a special wildlife tour.
