America Line guests worldwide. They'll also enjoy the

Experience," allowing travelers to witness the
unpredictable power and beauty of the Amazon River,
where they'll cruise the length of the mighty river and
see the famed "meeting of the waters" where two rivers
flow without mixing colors. From rarely-seen birds,
plants and marine life, including distinctive pink
dolphins, flamingos, toucans, and sea and river turtles
to the snow-white sand beaches of remote sites like
Santarem, Boca Da Valeria, Parintins and Alter do Chao,

"Islands of Salvation" off the coast of French Guiana,
with its lush and tropical setting. They'll delight in
Caribbean destinations like St. Lucia, Barbados, Grand
Turk, Half Moon Cay and Aruba, and make multiple calls
in Brazil, with extended stays in Salvador and Recife.
This cruise is ideal for guests
who want a unique experience. Port collectors will love
the diversity of port calls. Nature lovers will delight

Nothing compares to a transit of
the Panama Canal. Panama Canal cruises appeal to cruise
collectors who take pride in "checking off" the world's
great destinations, as well as history buffs and lovers
of exotic landscapes. Plus there's plenty of time on
board to enjoy an array of exciting activities and
luxurious amenities.
The centerpiece of any Panama
Canal itinerary is, of course, the daylight transit
through the Panama Canal itself. Guests experience first
hand the bridge between two worlds and can admire the
colossal undertaking this engineering marvel truly is.
With
itineraries ranging from 14 to 28 days, there's
something to suit everyone. Many itineraries also
offer a two-day Panama Canal experience, including an
overnight on board in Fuerte Amador (Panama City), and
depart from convenient North American ports, including
Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, San Diego, Los Angeles, San
Francisco and Vancouver.
Full-transit sailings also
include scenic cruising in serene Gatún Lake – one of
the largest man-made lakes in the world – and/or
eco-rich Golfo Dulce, an uninhabited stretch of shore
that Costa Rica has declared a national treasure. Here,
rain forests are so dense that many different kinds of
trees crowd onto a single acre. Additionally, nature
lovers will love that more bird species live in this
small area than in the US and Canada combined. Guests
will also enjoy the varied sun-drenched beaches of the
Mexican Riviera including seldom-visited Santa Cruz
Huatulco and Puerto Chiapas.
In 2010 and 2011, the ms
Statendam gives you the chance to transit the
Panama Canal in only 14-days or for a more in-depth
experience, combine two 14-Day itineraries to create the
ultimate Panama Canal cruise – a 28-Day Collectors'
Voyage, with only one repeat port of call on the
itinerary.
On board, a knowledgeable
Explorations team illuminates the art, culture, history
and cuisine of the region, and every transit of the
canal is narrated by an expert commentator, ready to
bring the fascinating landscape and history to life.
Unique shore excursions, including a day among the
Embera Indians of Panama, kayaking in the Panama Canal,
and an aerial tram ride through a Costa Rican forest.
Our five magnificent ships, the
ms Statendam,
ms Ryndam,
ms Zuiderdam,
ms Amsterdam and

the largest selection of suites sailing through the
Panama Canal, and a premium onboard experience featuring
