most states for a limited time only. For select cruises, cruise lines offer
special rates for residents of particular states. Providing your city of
residence or the city with the most proximity to your city of residence, allows
them to apply these additional savings to your cruise price.
Any cruise traveler who
qualifies for a special resident rate will be required to to show
proof of residence when boarding the ship. Failure to do so may
result in denied boarding or your rate will revert to the regular
cruise rate and you will be required to pay the difference at the
pier before boarding is allowed.

I see some cruises have Resident Rates if at least one
person in the stateroom is a resident of an "eligible"
state. What determines the eligible state? I
live in Ohio and plan on taking a 7 day Caribbean cruise out
of Miami. I was wondering/hoping that as a resident of Ohio
I would/could qualify for a better rate. - Anne
A. To find a resident rate based
on your state, select your state from the list, and the
system will automatically bring up any resident specials
available, not just from one cruise line, but for all of
them! If a Residents rate is currently being offered for a
particular cruise, a notation will appear where the Rates
are displayed.
